Treasurer Ron K. Seymour, FCPA, FCGA, has exercised his professional accountings skills in public practise serving hundreds of clients, for over 35 years, in both Manitoba where he and his family were established, and now in British Columbia, where he now resides on the Sunshine Coast near Pender Harbour. His experience with NPO & Society structures as well as business accounting skills makes him a valuable asset on our Pender Harbour & District Chamber of Commerce.
Other experiences include:
Secretary Kerry Milligan has been involved with the Chamber since 2007 and in addition to serving as Secretary and Treasurer for our Chamber, she manages our Visitor Information Bureau and administers our Web Site. Chamber Director Dave Massullo has been a Director since 2019. Dave and his brother Richard own and operate the popular Oak Tree Market, a general store specializing in fresh local meats and vegetables. The Massullo brothers also own and operate the Harbour Pizza right next door to the Oak Tree Market. Here is a funny tidbit. The Oak Tree Market will be completing 22 years here but taking a closer look, it can be argued that they have been here for 4 decades. The 90s, 00s, 10s and now the 20s. We welcome Dave as our newest member of the board!
Chamber Director Bill Charlton became a director of the Pender Harbour Chamber of Commerce in 2015. Bill flew fighters for the Royal Canadian Air Force for 30 years before moving to Pender Harbour with his wife Lyn in 2002. Bill is an active board member who was organizer of Pender Harbour Days, but now is very busy as Co-Chair of the Pender Harbour Dock Management Committee, and working on Community Development programs, including “Light up the Harbour”. Somehow Bill manages to also be a Director of the Pender Harbour Royal Legion, of the Pender Harbour Area Residents Association, plus President elect of the Pender Harbour Rotary Club. And then he finds time to visit their family in Vancouver, do some travelling with his wife, and last but not least, he skippers their Trawler CANIK TOO.
Chamber Director Sean McAllister became a director for the Pender Harbour Chamber of Commerce in 2019. After practicing law in Edmonton for 30 years, Sean and his wife Barb moved to Pender Harbour in 2014. Since his arrival, Sean has become very involved in the community. As a board member of our Chamber, Sean administers our Instagram account. He is also a member of the Garden Bay Sailing Club, and a board member of the Pender Harbour Rotary Club and RCMSAR - Unit 61, where he sits on the Advisory Planning Commission. Sean is also a former director of the Harbour Authority of Pender Harbour, and is now Co-Chair of the Pender Harbour Dock Management Working Group. Furthermore, Sean is also a director of the Pender Harbour Residents Association. How does he do it?
Chamber Director Larry Curtiss and his wife Linda moved to Pender Harbour 44 years ago, have a son and daughter and 6 grandchildren. Their main business was Lowes Resort, which they sold a few years ago, and they continue to own and operate the local school busses (Pender Harbour Transportation) and Squirrel Storage. Larry is our longest serving Chamber Director and over the years he has held most of the executive positions within our Chamber. He is currently the Chair of our Highways and Light up the Harbour Committees, a member of our Shop Local Committee and is the go-to guy when it is time to put up our summertime banners.
Larry has been very active as a volunteer within our community for all of his 44 years here. A couple of highlights are serving as a volunteer fireman for over 40 years and being a founding member and Chairman of the Pender Harbour Growth and Development Partnership, which was the driving force behind the revitalization of the Madeira Park downtown core. Their projects include improving the entrance to Madeira Park with the Harbour Spirit Gardens and Boat, creation of the Madeira Park Community Gardens and establishing the wetlands conservatory/park in downtown Madeira. As well as his Chamber work, Larry is serving on the Pender Harbour Advisory Councils Transportation Committee and their Bikeways and Walkways Committee. In 2003, Larry was presented with a Community Leadership Award from Community Futures and in 2012 a Partnership award from the BC Principals and Vice Principals Association.

His passion for this fast paced industry keeps his level of involvement high. He is keenly interested in assisting growth oriented organizations in the areas of expense reduction, productivity and goodwill enhancement.
An avid sportsman (tennis, skiing, dirt biking, boating, rowing, hiking, golf), Bruce enjoys the lifestyle offered him courtesy of a successful business career. He and his wife of over 35 years, Fay, are residents of Pender Harbor where he uses Cisco collaboration technology for his client communications. He is a member of the Pender Harbour volunteer fire department where he is a 59 year old rookie! Bruce is also a member of the local Chamber of Commerce where he is actively involved in the “Economic Development” initiative which hopes to create an appropriate type of growth for Pender Harbor. “It’s time to give back!” as Bruce puts it.
