Things to Do in Pender Harbour & Area
A popular dive spot, the waters off Pender Harbour & Egmont, as well as the whole Sunshine Coast, offer spectacular visibility year round, interesting and abundant marine life, and year-round dive options. (Anyone up for a face-to-face with a Giant Pacific Octopus? Yes please!)
One of the more popular dive spots is at the Skookumchuck Rapids, but due to the dangerous nature of the tides, it's recommended for experienced divers only. The wreck of the HMCS Chaudiere, in Sechelt Inlet just beyond the Skookumchuck Rapids, is one of the must-dive spots on the Sunshine Coast.
The Agamemnon Channel area (between Nelson Island and Pender Harbour) is also a popular spot to see glass sponge reefs and other amazing ecosystems.
